Safari Olympique was birthed in 2004 when we started in the Eastern Cape as Ecca Pass Hunting Safaris, with Bevan Peinke operating privately with international and South African clientele, for the last 20 years. Our Safari Olympique headquarters is now at Rusoord Game Reserve, Fort Brown. A historical place rich in abundant wildlife, local traditions and cultures. This is where we choose to base ourselves as we venture into our ever-growing list of concessions and hunting territories, chasing the ultimate South African adventure experience.
After 19 years of a successful professional Rugby career, Rory Kockott and Bevan Peinke partnered to create and develop Safari Olympique as the outfitters of choice to European and international hunters. Playing for Castres Olympique, Stade Français and the French National Team, for 13 years, Rory Kockott established and experienced the strong traditions around hunting in Europe.
Today our home base is the game-rich region of the Eastern Cape, with concessions in excess of 150 000ha in the prime locations of the Fish River Valley, Winterberg mountain range and Coastal regions of the expansive Eastern Cape.
In 2022, we partnered with a new territory, opening the doors to the wild and forgotten valleys and mountains of Kwa Zulu Natal. Thus creating opportunities for a diverse and unique list of animals to be hunted within these two provinces.
Our team consists of experienced and well-skilled professionals, with our professional hunters having hunted in prime destinations and different hunting areas and methods worldwide, such as New Zealand, Namibia, Botswana, France, Spain, Austria and Sweden.
We continue to grow and develop as we strive to provide the old-world Safari adventure and discovery of unique experiences. Paying respect to the forefathers of our hunting traditions in these areas.
Whether you’re after waterfowl in Kwazulu-Natal or pigeon and dove shoots in the Eastern Cape, we offer a professionally guided, fully outfitted hunting experience that caters to hunters of all levels.
